The young woman who claims she could be missing British girl Madeleine McCann has allegedly been threatened with legal action by a man she claims abused her as a child.
Julia Wendell published content to Instagram alleging she was abused by a man as a child and linking that alleged abuse with the claim she may be Madeleine McCann.
A lawyer purporting to represent the man she accused of abusing her has reportedly demanded she stops associating his client with the unsolved mystery of the missing child.

"I call on you to immediately stop the grave violation of his personal rights – defaming him, publishing in the media a verdict from many years ago and implying that he has something to do with the missing Madeleine McCann," the lawyer said in a letter obtained by RadarOnline.com.
"If you do not stop such actions – I will file a lawsuit against you for violations of personal rights and consider further steps on the criminal level."
The letter, dated March 2, 2023, comes after Julia told private investigator Dr Fia Johansson the man had abused her when she was seven years old and claimed he looked similar to someone who was previously a suspect in Madeleine's disappearance.
She said she found a photo of the man who abused her in her grandmother's house, and that her grandmother told her "something" about the case of the missing Brit.
Meanwhile, Julia has posted on Instagram about "achieving big goals" while in the US.
The 21-year-old is currently waiting for the results of three DNA samples and a genetic test after she sensationally claimed she believed she might be Madeleine, who went missing during a family holiday to Portugal in 2007.
Dr Fia Johansson, a private investigator who is currently helping the Polish national learn her true identity, has kept the world informed on developments on her Instagram and she posted a short message from Julia.
"Consider this your reminder, you are amazing and can achieve big goals," she wrote on her story, attributing the quote to Julia.
Another message, also alongside a picture of Julia, read: "Thankyou for reminding me what butterflies feel like".
It comes after Dr Fia Johansson shared a video of the young woman playing the piano and singing.
"She played for my sister, and she cried," Dr Johansson captioned the clip.
