Girl, 19, 'murdered' by Uttarakhand resort owner, son of BJP ex-minister, for 'refusing prostitution'; leaves painful text with friend

DEHRADUN: A 19-year-old girl from Pauri Garhwal, who went missing four days ago from a Rishikesh resort in Uttarakhand where she used to work as a receptionist, was allegedly pushed from a cliff into the river Ganga by the owner and his two employees for "refusing to indulge in prostitution with the hotel guests".

Days before her disappearance, the victim, Ankita Bhandari, had sent a chilling note to her close friend on WhatsApp, saying: "They are forcing me to provide extra service to hotel guests, feeling insecure... the owner once tried to kiss me forcefully." She had also shared her agony with a few staffers.
