A girl who was one of two teenagers pulled from the sea in North East Lincolnshire has died. The 15-year-old was airlifted to hospital along with a boy after the pair were found in the North Sea in Cleethorpes shortly after 7:30pm on Saturday evening (June 24).
The girl however did not recover and very sadly died, Humberside Police have confirmed. Floral tributes to the girl, who police said they would not be naming at the family's request, have been left close to the scene.

The boy, who is also said to be 15, received treatment but was later discharged.
A major search was launched involving coastguards, the fire service and police after the teens were reported missing on Saturday lunchtime. The force said at this point it was 'unknown if they had entered the water.'
A Cleethorpes Coastguard spokesperson told the BBC the pair were found the pair "some way" to sea after a lifeboat was launched around 4pm. They described it as a 'very difficult day' for all involved.
Detective Inspector Nathan Reuben from Humberside Police said: “Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.
"We ask that they are given the time and space to process this tragic news. The family is being supported by specially trained officers. The boy who was also recovered from the water was taken to the hospital to receive medical care. He has since been discharged.
“We are working together with all the relevant agencies including Humberside Fire and Rescue services and the Coastguard to fully understand the circumstances of the tragic accident.”
