A girl whose dad slashed her throat with a knife played dead to escape his clutches as her sister lay dead in another room, according to police.
The 12-year-old is said to have woken up to find Juan Bravo-Torres reaching for her neck which he sliced with a blade.
In an update by the Longwood Police Department in Florida, US, police said when her dad went to get another knife the girl got up and found her three-year-old sister in the hallway.
