GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST insists Rangers will not dip into the free agent market to help the squad cope with a growing list of major injury concerns.
The Gers gaffer revealed this morning that Connor Goldson will be out for "several months" having picked up a thigh knock in the midweek trouncing at home to Liverpool.
The Ibrox side's key defender limped off injured, visibly upset that he was unable to continue.
Rangers would go on to lose the Champions League match 7-1 after a second-half goal blitz from the Premier League giants.
van Bronckhorst recognises the importance of Goldson to the Rangers backline.
However, he admits there are no plans to bring in more players in a bid to compensate for the Englishman's loss.
Along with Goldson, Tom Lawrence, Ryan Jack, John Souttar, Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi are all key players who remain out of action longer term.
He said: "Of course, when you have so many options injured you look at the options you have in the academy.
"Options you have within the squad but also look if there are free agents but at this moment in time the free agents are players who haven't played a lot recently or have just come back from injury so we are open for any possible additions but again, you have to have the right one.
"So, for now, we are not looking into bringing players in."
Ben Davies was a brief injury worry for the club as well in the wake of Wednesday's heavy defeat.
Although, these initial concerns have been eased, with the ex-Preston player expected to play against Motherwell on Sunday.
The manager continued: "Connor and Ryan have injuries. They left the pitch on Wednesday. They have both got muscular injuries so they won't be back in the short term.
"Ben had a knock on Wednesday but could continue the game. We have training today but I expect him to be involved tomorrow (against Motherwell).
"It's a big blow whenever you have injuries. Connor played all the games since I've joined the club. He was an ever-present and a very important player at the back with his coaching and his presence.
"We won't have him back for the next months so that's a big blow for us."
