Giovanni Pernice has reportedly split from girlfriend Molly Brown after a “series of rows” following his departure from Strictly Come Dancing.
It was confirmed last month the 33-year-old would not be part of the 2024 line-up of professionals amid allegations about his teaching methods by three celebrity partners.
Pernice began dating 24-year-old Brown in February, broke up three weeks later, then reunited for a second time.
In recent weeks, the model was seen supporting the embattled star during his tour and workshops with Strictly judge Anton Du Beke as well as enjoying trips abroad.
However, it’s reported that the ongoing Strictly scandal “has taken its toll”, and the pair have now removed all traces of each other from social media.
A source told the Mirror: “Giovanni and Molly grew very close, very quickly, after they split up the first time and got back together.
“Their relationship has been pretty full on. But they have rowed again recently and it all came to a head earlier this week, when they called it quits.
“Molly has been very supportive of Giovanni, but he has been under a lot of stress lately and that has taken its toll.”
The insider added that while it’s “not impossible” they will “give things another go once the dust has settled”, it’s not likely.
The Standard has contacted a representative for Pernice.
The BBC is currently conducting an investigation into the dancer’s teaching style on Strictly after his 2023 celebrity partner Amanda Abbington requested footage of their tense rehearsals.
The Sherlock star claimed she has been diagnosed with PTSD since participating in the show, describing her experience with Pernice as "tough" and "horrible."
The Sicilian-born dancer previously said in a statement he is co-operating fully with an ongoing BBC investigation and that he looks “forward to clearing my name”.
He wrote on Instagram: "I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name.
"Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade know that I am passionate and competitive. No one is more ambitious for their dance partners than me."
