Giovanna Fletcher was quick to give her Instagram seal of approval to a Whitley Bay restaurant that has established itself as quite the celebrity favourite, after calling in during a gap in performances of Wish You Were Dead at Newcastle's Theatre Royal.
I'm A Celebrity winner Giovanna has swapped a freezing cold castle in Wales for a part in the chilling Peter James play, which has been entertaining audiences on Grey Street all week. She plays Cleo, the wife of detective Roy Grace, a character known to ITV viewers from hit crime drama Grace.
Having briefly visited Newcastle before with McFly husband Tom and on her own podcast tour, Giovanna has been trying to do plenty of exploring on her week long stint on Tyneside, seizing the opportunity to catch up with friend and another podcast favourite, Rosie Ramsey; with the two heading to Fuego in Fenwick's on Monday.
Giovanna then joined other members of the Wish You Were Dead cast and crew for a post-show night out at Lane 7 in the city centre on Tuesday, before some hotel drama thwarted her plans for an early night on Wednesday.
Wish You Were Dead ends its run at the Theatre Royal on Saturday night and, before the penultimate performance, Giovanna headed up the coast to Whitley Bay, picking a great day to do some exploring, unlike when she got caught up in a snow blizzard in town just days earlier.
And, as well as soaking up the surroundings, Giovanna headed to highly rated haunt and favourite of Sam Fender, the brilliantly named Pablo Eggs-go-bao.
Also popular with a number of Geordie Shore stars past and present, the Station Road restaurant specialises in breakfast buns which combine. including sausage, omelette, cheese and hash browns.
Clearly a big fan, Giovanna posted a card from Pablo Eggs-go-bao on her Instagram story and wrote 'What a treat'.
There are two performances of Wish You Were Dead on Saturday, with both a matinee and evening show to choose from.
