Giorgos Giakoumakis has been named in the MLS All-Star team.
The former Celtic striker has been nothing short of sensational since making the move to Atlanta United with his 10 goals and one assist in 15 games landing him a spot in the attack for the clash Arsenal on Wednesday, July 19.
The roster is decided through a combination of fan, player and media voting (12 players), designations by All-Star head coach Wayne Rooney of host club D.C United (12 players) and two selections by MLS Commissioner Don Graber.

It's been quite the start in the USA for the former Hoops striker who has quickly established himself as a key player and fans' favourite for his new side.
Ange Postecoglou snapped him up from VVV-Venlo but after 18 months with the Scottish champions he decided he wanted a new challenge and departed in the winter window. His old boss has since moved on to the English Premier League with Tottenham with Brendan Rodgers back in the hot seat at Parkhead.
Giakoumakis became just the SECOND player in MLS history to reach 10 career goals in under 800 minutes of regular season play with Mamadou Diallo the other.
He also created Atlanta history soon after his arrival by becoming the first player to score in his first five starts and just the second in league history with Taylor Twellman going six.
