Former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum could be on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain after only one season - as the French champions consider bringing back an old favourite.
After his contract expired, the 31-year-old Dutchman left Anfield on a free transfer last summer and, although he had widely been tipped to join Barcelona, he eventually signed for PSG. But Wijnaldum, who won both the Champions League and Premier League under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, has endured a tough time at the Parc des Princes, making just 18 league starts, with a further 13 appearances off the substitutes bench.
And according to Italian publication Calcio Mercato Web, the Netherlands international could be subject to a swap deal with Juventus. The report claims that PSG want to bring back Adrien Rabiot from Turin and send Wijnaldum in the opposite direction. Rabiot was a popular figure in Paris, winning five Ligue 1 titles across 227 appearances for the club, before heading to Serie A. But now it seems that PSG want to bring him back, and heading into the final year of his contract, the 27-year-old appears to be happy to call time on his spell in Italy.

Rabiot has also been linked with Liverpool. It was reported last week that Juventus were willing to exchange the France international as part of a 'swap deal' for Reds striker Roberto Firmino.
Wijnaldum was a popular figure on the red half of Merseyside. He joined the the club from Newcastle United for £23million in 2016, signing a five-year deal. Always displaying an appetite for the big games, he wrote his name into Liverpool folklore after coming off the bench to score twice against Barcelona in the 2019 Champions League semi-final second leg at Anfield - a match Klopp's side would go onto win 4-0, overturning a 3-0 first leg deficit.
Should his time in Paris be up after only one season with the club, Wijnaldum would still leave with a Ligue 1 champions medal to add to his collection.
