One week before the opening of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, organisers have unveiled the jury that will deliberate on the 22 films in competition. American actress Demi Moore, Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard and Chinese filmmaker Chloé Zhao will be among those selecting this year's Palme d'Or, alongside jury president South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-Wook.
Still riding high from the late-career boost of her Oscar-nominated role in The Substance – which took the Best Screenplay Award in Cannes in 2024 – 63-year-old Moore will join the international jury for the Cannes Film Festival, which kicks off on 12 May.
