The New York Giants (7-4) will host the Washington Commanders (7-5) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey this Sunday.
That, of course, provides those of us here at Giants Wire the opportunity to hypothetically steal from the Commanders’ roster in search of depth and/or talent upgrades for Big Blue.
There’s plenty to choose from, including edge rushers Montez Sweat and Chase Young, safety Darrick Forrest, cornerback Kendall Fuller and guard Trai Turner. But we all know where this is going…
Instead of building up the interior offensive line or adding depth in the secondary, we’re snagging wide receiver Terry McLaurin and giving the Giants’ offense the big-play threat they most desperately need.
McLaurin is currently on pace for the best season of his career. In 12 games, he’s hauled in 54 receptions for 840 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also averaging an impressive 15.6 yards per reception.
In New York, McLaurin would provide a legitimate deep threat who’s able to create separation and draw double teams. That would also open things up for Darius Slayton and others, who would face more one-on-one matchups.
What are your thoughts, Giants fans? Would you pick Terry McLaurin or would you steal an entirely different player from the Washington Commanders.
