The ex-wife of the Gilgo Beach serial killer has revealed his shocking confession after he killed seven women and admitted to an eighth.
Rex Heuermann pleaded guilty earlier in April 2026 to three counts of first-degree murder and four counts of intentional murder in the killings of seven women between 1993 and 2010. He also admitted to killing an eighth woman.
In the finale part of NBC Peacock's The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets, set to air on Thursday (23 April), Asa Ellerup, Heuermann’s ex-wife, revealed he confessed to killing eight women, seven in their family home.
Ellerup said, “I said to him, ‘So, Mr. Heuermann, I understand that you are confessing to me on these murders. Can you please tell me how many of these women did you kill?’ He said eight.”
Her attorney has previously said neither Ellerup nor the couple’s daughter had any knowledge of or involvement in the crimes.
