Gigi Hadid opened Tommy Hilfiger's Spring 2027 runway show at The Plaza Hotel on September 10, returning to a runway she has walked for the designer for close to a decade — this time coming straight from a school drop-off. Speaking to E! during its live coverage of the show, Hadid said she'd dropped her daughter, Khai, off at school that morning before heading to the venue. "So it's definitely a new version of Fashion Week for me," she said.

For the show itself, Hadid opened wearing a blazer paired with a T-shirt from the Spring 2027 collection, part of a lineup built around preppy separates — navy blazers, rugby shirts and pleated skirts — staged inside the Plaza, where designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife Dee lived for more than a decade. The venue choice was personal for Hilfiger, who has described the hotel as a kind of homecoming.
