Gigi Hadid Breaks Her Silence After Being Mentioned In The Epstein Files: ‘Sick To My Stomach’

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has broken her silence on the Jeffrey Epstein files after she was mentioned in a 2015 email exchange.

According to E! News, the 30-year-old model addressed her mention in the notorious files after a fan commented on her March 29 Instagram post, stating they had to “unfollow” Hadid because she “ain’t talk ’bout those files”.

In a now-deleted reply, Hadid said the documents “made me sick to my stomach”.

“Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context,” Hadid penned.

“I didn’t comment [because] I don’t want to take away from the stories of real victims of his; but your comment made me realise maybe it’s not clear — and it’s important to let you know.”

Further in her reply, which has since been reshared on X (formerly Twitter) following its deletion, Hadid said her “parents protected” her and “taught her the value of hard work” whilst acknowledging that she grew up privileged.

“I grew up privileged, yes. But my parents protected me and taught me the value of hard work, the same hard work that got them to this country and gave them careers,” Hadid continued.

She concluded her response, stating that to be named in those files when she was in her early 20’s “is disturbing”.

“To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email — is disturbing, and I was to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human behind. May he rest in [fire emojis],” Hadid wrote.

Although she has seemingly deleted the response, the original commenter replied, thanking the model for her reply and apologised for “jumping to conclusions”.

Why was Gigi Hadid mentioned in the Epstein Files?

Following the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) decision to release the files in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, it was revealed that Hadid — alongside her sister Bella were mentioned in a 2015 email exchange between an individual whose identity had been redacted and Epstein.

“How did the Hadid sisters became [sic] models and make so much money?! I don’t understand,” the unidentified asked Epstein.

Epstein went on to write, “you know”, before the individual guessed that their father, Mohamed Hadid, “paid the agency”.

“No,” Epstein replied.

“So what did they do,” the individual pressed.

“Because they follow directions, it’s that simple,” Epstein penned.

The disgraced billionaire was arrested in July 2019 and was charged with sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors. On August 10, weeks after he was taken into custody, Epstein died in a federal Manhattan jail while awaiting trial.
