The New York Giants fell to the Minnesota Vikings, 27-24, in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon.
In a hard-fought game by both sides, New York lost in the final seconds to a record-breaking 61-yard field goal by Greg Joseph. This loss brings New York to 8-6-1 but with losses throughout the NFC, their playoff hopes are still very much alive.
There were many players who performed well in this game but one unsung hero these past few weeks has been Isaiah Hodgins. Coming into Week 16, Hodgins had been having a hot streak with two touchdowns in the last three games.
Against the Vikings, the former practice squad receiver had the best game of his career with eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.
Hodgins was a reliable target for Daniel Jones all day in a game where Jones was consistently airing out the ball. The Giants’ receiving core is thin and the continued improvement from Hodgins will be integral for a potential playoff run.

This is pretty crazy. All the talk of the #Giants trading for a WR or signing Odell Beckham. Instead, right after the trade deadline, they claimed… Isaiah Hodgins? Has more production than many of the trade targets since Nov. 2. https://t.co/TzFxFsxxTQ
