The New York Giants defeated the Jaguars in Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday afternoon.
Buy Giants TicketsThis was a fantastic effort from New York as they came into the contest as slight underdogs due to the talent deficiencies and barrage of injuries the Giants have endured.
In what seems to be almost a weekly occurrence, Daniel Jones led a fourth-quarter touchdown drive to give the Giants a 3-point lead, and then he led another campaign into Jaguars territory to put the Giants up by six points.
Due to this, Jones was the Giants Wire Player of the Game for the third straight week. He has been the difference maker in this four-game win streak for Big Blue. Unlike other seasons, Jones has been an amazing leader and game manager for the Giants as he has taken control of the offense and taken care of the ball.
However, Jones has also been an incredible playmaker for New York as he has practically done everything for the Giants this season. In this game alone he completed 19 of 30 (six drops) passing attempts for 202 yards and a touchdown. The Duke product also rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown.
Jones became the first player in Giants history to pass for 200-plus yards and also rush for 100-plus yards.
Jones is arguably the most improved player in the NFL this season and he deserves a lot of praise for his and the Giants’ success.
Jones has been phenomenal with a receiving core with several practice squad players and unproven players. Hopefully, for Jones and the Giants, this can continue next week in Seattle.
