Giants’ Timmy Horne suffered torn Achilles vs. Jets

The New York Giants began purging their roster on Sunday, releasing 10 players 48 hours ahead of the league deadline to pare down rosters from 90 to 53 players.

Head coach Brian Daboll announced that defensive lineman Timmy Horne suffered a torn Achilles on Saturday night. Horne was injured on the first play from scrimmage in Saturday night’s 10-6 preseason loss to the Jets.

Horne was a backup along the line behind Rakeem Nunez-Roches.

Horne, 26, was an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in 2022 by the Atlanta Falcons.

The Giants signed Horne off the Falcons’ practice squad last December.
