The New York Giants were reportedly in the mix to sign veteran running back D’Onta Foreman, previously of the Carolina Panthers. Foreman signed on with the Chicago Bears on Thursday.
New #Bears running back D'Onta Foreman (one year, $3 million) also had opportunities with #Bills #Panthers and #Giants per a league source. Former #Texans and @TexasLonghorns Doak Walker award winner parlayed strong season into free agent deal: @KPRC2https://t.co/GzEVknjOVa https://t.co/pBvLIRgw7H

The Giants naturally have Saquon Barkley as their top back and recently re-signed Matt Breida. Foreman is a tough scrimmage runner but offers little in the passing game. He had the best season of his five-year career in 2022, rushing for 914 for Carolina on 203 carries.
It just shows the due diligence and aggressiveness of Giants general manager Joe Schoen, who is pulling out all stops to build up his offensive arsenal.
