Former Tennessee Titans vice president of player personnel and interim general manager, Ryan Cowden, has reportedly landed a new gig with the New York Giants.
The New York Post’s Ryan Dunleavy was the first to report the hiring, but no role was specified. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reports the Giants will name Cowden an executive advisor to the general manager.
The former Titans executive has a connection to Giants general manager Joe Schoen, who he worked with during their days with the Carolina Panthers.
Cowden interviewed for the Giants’ general manager vacancy in 2022, and was also a candidate for jobs with the Washington Commanders and Pittsburgh Steelers that year.
Cowden was first hired by the Titans in 2016, serving as the team’s director of player personnel for two seasons before taking his previous role.
He served as interim general manager after Jon Robinson was fired last year, and was among those who interviewed for the team’s vacancy before Tennessee decided to go with Ran Carthon.
