The New York Giants will enter the 2023 NFL draft likely looking to beef up the wide receiver position. However, without trading up their options may be limited come pick No. 25.
Our friends over at Draft Wire took that into account during their most recent mock draft. And despite trades happening up and down the board, they had the Giants staying put.
Buy Giants TicketsWith no top-end wide receiver to be had, they instead have the Giants selecting Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid.
While the Giants would likely want one of the top receivers in the draft, they opt instead to take the top receiving tight end of the class in Kincaid. He will become an immediate security blanket for Daniel Jones, and can be used in a variety of ways, as he is as dynamic as they come at the position. It would not be a shock if he led the Giants in receiving right away.
Although the Giants are pleased with Daniel Bellinger and have high hopes for him moving forward, a receiving-minded tight end capable of creating mismatches would be a welcomed addition.
The 6-foot-4, 242-pound Kincaid hauled in 70 receptions for 890 yards and eight touchdowns last season. And he’s scored 16 touchdowns over the past two seasons.
