The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, 10-7, on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in one of the uglier games played this season.
The final score accurately represents just how bad the game was — one highlighted by missed tackles, dropped passes, busted assignments, and plenty of almosts (see: Isaiah Simmons dropped interception).
In the end, the Giants did just enough to secure the win, while the Patriots did all they could to walk away the losers. So if that were the goal of Bill Belichick, it was a job well done for him.
Here’s how X, formerly known as Twitter, reacted to the ugly win.
A 10-7 game in the cold and rain between the 2 worst offenses in the NFL. Who saw this coming? Wait…I’m being told “Everyone. Everyone saw this
coming”— BigBlueVCR (@BigBlueVCR) November 26, 2023
Giants win! What a….victory. Or something. Ugly, ugly game.

#Giants will win. Ryland missed the kick. A 35-yard FG is wide left.
This improves the Giants record to 4-8. It also pretty much takes them out of the conversation for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.

Isn’t it amazing how the Giants & Pats always play close, exciting games…well, close anyway.

This was the ugliest #Giants win in how long? 10-7 and they only won b/c the opponent threw three horrific INTs including one to set. up a FG, one to give up a FG.
Hyatt was 🔥but he's not catching passes from a QB who factors into their future which deflates excitement. a bit.— Dan Schneier (@DanSchneierNFL) November 26, 2023
