Three people have been left injured after a giant marquee collapsed in a city park.
Witnesses described hearing a 'loud crash' and a man screaming for help after the structure collapsed in Southampton's Mayflower Park.
Emergency services attended the scene, including ambulance, police and fire crews.
Three people were later confirmed to have been assessed for minor injuries. Two were discharged, while another was taken to University Hospital Southampton for further treatment.
One photograph shows the metal frame of the marquee almost entirely on the ground, with a small part still partially upright. It is thought workers were dismantling the structure at the time of the incident.
One eyewitness told local outlet the Daily Echo that they saw the metal frame fall down with a "loud crash" before several workers ran out of the way.
"Then I saw a man lying on his side crying out and several people ran over", they added.
The marquee was in place following the recent Seawork event at the park.
The two-day annual event held in the costal Hampshire city to celebrate commercial marine life saw dozens of vessels taking to the water nearby, as well as a display in the park featuring around 400 exhibitors.
It concluded on June 13.
South Central Ambulance Service confirmed an ambulance and two rapid response vehicles had been sent to the site following the collapse of the marquee, which occurred on Wednesday morning.
A statement read: "We sent one ambulance and two rapid response vehicles at the incident who reported that they had three patients who had sustained minor injuries as a result of a marquee collapse.
"Two of those patients were treated and discharged at the scene and the third was taken to University Hospital Southampton for further treatment."
Southampton City Council said they not comment on the incident at this time.
