Giant Hogweed: Son left with severe burns from 'UK's most dangerous plant'

A mum has spoken out about a dangerous plant after it has left her son with burns that may need plastic surgery. It comes after the boy was unaware of his injuries and woke up to the scars on his body.

Kimberley Walker believes the burn has come from the 'UK's most dangerous plant'. She thinks her 12-year-old son brushed against a Giant Hogweed plant when collecting a football which went over the school gate.

The Mirror reports that Kimberly's son was playing football in Leek, Staffordshire, when he touched the toxic plant. He woke up with burns and was taken to A&E.
