Giannis Antetokounmpo Sassily Sat in Front Row in Protest of Ejection From Bucks Game

Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected from Wednesday night’s Bucks vs. Pistons game in the third quarter after he was handed his second technical foul of the contest.

Antetokounmpo dunked the ball over Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart and stared him down briefly after. The referees blew the whistle on the Bucks star, and since Antetokounmpo had earned a technical foul in the second quarter as well, he was ejected from the game.

The Bucks forward questioned the referees over the call, attempting to speak with them after the whistle blew. When that didn’t work, Antetokounmpo protested in a different way by sitting down on the bench and crossing his legs. He sassily motioned to the nearest referee to basically go on with the game, obviously disagreeing with the call.

Despite his attempts to stay court side, Antetokounmpo was eventually sent back to the locker room.

In 22 minutes, Antetokounmpo recorded 15 points, nine defensive rebounds, five assists and three blocks. At the time of his ejection, Milwaukee led by 13 points. The Pistons rallied to take a 10-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but the Bucks rebounded to register a 120–118 win.
