Jennifer will guide the audience through a range of key issues regarding serial killers including the curious phenomenon of serial killers amassing cult followings after their capture such as the folie à deux syndrome, also known as ‘shared psychosis’.

She’ll answer questions such as ‘Why do women fall in love with known serial killers?’, as well as discuss the clinical knowledge surrounding why serial killers gain admirers, fan mail, and even spouses in light of their atrocious crimes.

The talk will explore some of modern history's most notorious killers, from the Los Angeles Night Crawler to Ian Brady and Myra Hindley plus Fred and Rose West, The Moors Murderers and more.

You'll also discover the painstaking processes that make up the investigative process, finding out how the authorities track and understand murderers, identify victims and piece information together to form patterns.

Paul Speed, Camp and Furnace director, said: "This is a must for any true crime fan and even the most avid may be surprised about what they learn.

"You will watch a fascinating time-lapse video of facial reconstruction on the skull of a discovered body, you will discover how common homicidal fantasies are while learning about things like hybristophilia and how victims (John and Jane Does) are identified too.

"You will truly discover the inner workings of a killer during this exclusive talk.

"We were aware that a lot of our staff were watching lots of crime documentaries on Netflix, so we started asking around and realised other people were also fascinated by this topic.

"We then started thinking about what we could do and seeing different events around the country before realising this would be perfect."

The event will take place on May 26, 2022, from 7.30pm to 10pm. You can book tickets here .
