Gerry Cinnamon thanked fans after his 'emotional' sell-out homecoming shows at Hampden Park.
The Scottish singer-songwriter performed two epic gigs at the country's national football stadium to a crowd of 100,000 fans. Special guests across the weekend came in the form of The Charlatans, Jake Bugg, The Snuts, Travis and Vistas, who all provided the perfect warm-up to Cinnamon's anthemic set.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Quiet weekend. Didn’t think it would be that emotional tbh. Not easy to process let alone put into words. The vibe and volume was indescribable. Hope all had a good time and a proper sing song cos that’s what it’s all about. Do a proper post tomorrow. Cheers for coming out and being part o history. Some laugh."
The Belter singer had the crowd going wild across the two day event, and even thanked another Scottish legend on stage. Sir Billy Connolly took centre stage during the set as the musician played his own rendition of 'I Wish I Was in Glasgow'.
The crowd enjoyed a sing-along with lyrics shown on the screen alongside a classic picture of the Big Yin. Gerry previously performed the tribute at his show at the Hydro in 2019 but it was that wee bit more emotional in front of the crowd of 50,000.
