Steven Gerrard has urged Rangers to get "proper player" Ryan Jack back in their side.
The former Ibrox midfielder this week revealed he has been training at Auchenhowie as he looks to win a deal somewhere as a free agent after leaving Turkish side Erokspor.
He is being supported by physios and performance staff at his previous club while he is a free agent. The 34-year-old won a title with Rangers under Gerrard and was managed by Derek McInnes at Aberdeen.
His former Ibrox boss is clearly still full of admiration for a player he often used to count on in big games.
Responding to a Rangers page sharing the story of Jack training with the club, Gerrard wrote: "Put him in the middle. Proper player."

The midfielder insists he is "feeling good" after injury and keeping himself fit as he looked for a new club.
On Go Radio, he said: “It is pretty much out of the way [Injury]. It is just this time of season when you are out of contract you just want to keep fit.
“I am just into the Rangers training ground working away with the physio and performance staff and also doing some gym work, so yeah feeling good.”
Jack had been training alone earlier in the summer.

"I still want to play, I’m still looking," he told BBC Scotland's Saturday Show earlier this month.
"There’s been nothing at the minute.
"I’ve just been away for two years so I wanted to come back and enjoy my time with the family but I’m training hard by myself and just want to see what the next challenge is."
