German YouTuber beats world record-holder in chaotic cheese rolling race

A German YouTuber has triumphed in Gloucestershire’s renowned cheese-rolling contest, narrowly defeating a local legend who emerged from retirement to defend his turf.

Tom Kopke, 24, a recent double champion, edged out Guinness World Record holder Chris Anderson near the finish line. The pair, along with around two dozen other daredevils, hurtled down the perilous Cooper’s Hill in Brockworth, chasing an 8lb double Gloucester cheese.
