Ger Loughnane rarely holds back in his analysis and he has some pretty forthright opinions on departing Kilkenny boss Brian Cody.
Cody announced his retirement as Kilkenny manager on Saturday after 24 seasons in charge.
With nearly a quarter of a century of service to his county, Cody has managed some of hurling's greatest players, including the likes of DJ Carey, Henry Shefflin and TJ Reid.
Jackie Tyrrell won nine All-Ireland titles under Cody and writing on social media, he said: "One of the very very lucky ones to have witnessed Brian Cody up close in action."

"His passion and love for Kilkenny hurling is unparalleled. Honoured to have been managed by the greatest manager ever."
Ger Loughnane, writing in his column for the Irish Daily Star, came up against Cody many times and has had his say.
"There will be no shortage of tributes made to Brian Cody in the days - and maybe even weeks and months - to come. A lot of them will repeat the same stuff, stuff that he put out there himself about having no tolerance for egos. That always made me smile, because few people ever had as big an ego as Cody," writes Loughnane.
"Call it self-belief if you want, but Cody was convinced that he was superior to any others he came across.
"That was one of the keys to his greatness. He'd use that great conviction to dominate others on the sideline, officials and the media."
Cody, 68, made the decision to step down on the back of the Cats' All-Ireland final defeat to Limerick last weekend.
Cody guided the county to All-Ireland successes on 11 occasions and was the longest-serving manager in the history of the inter-county game.
