Tributes have been paid to supermodel Georgina Cooper who suddenly died aged 46.
The “Cool Britannia” icon and friend of Kate Moss - tragically died on a Greek island just months after she married, MailOnline reported.
It is understood Cooper was staying in Kos at the Marianna hotel apartments with her husband when she was taken ill on October 21.
Tributes have flooded in for the model once dubbed London’s “original gap-toothed girl” by catwalk stars such as Jade Parfitt and Erin O’Connor.
Fellow British model and presenter Parfitt shared the news with her Instagram followers by sharing a range of photos of Cooper including photoshoots with ID and The Face magazines.
She wrote: “Goodbye beautiful girl. Devastated to share the news of George’s passing.
“One of the funniest and naughtiest, never mind most beautiful friends, we all wanted to hang out with George backstage.
“Sending so much love to her son, family. And friends. Gone too soon.”
Connor described “Gorgeous George” as a “Phenomenal woman, wife, daughter, mum and friend”.
She wrote: “You were an incredibly kind and funny human being, Georgina. I/we all admired and loved you so much for the warmth, generosity and gentle mischief you brought to the world.
“Many years have passed since we (our little 90’s britannia pack) hung out together during the mad carousel era known as ‘show season’ - but, you ALWAYS stuck out to me for keeping it real and being proud of who you were.”
She added that Cooper would never be forgotten and described how Cooper was “full of spirit and endless, inspiring humility”.
Her former agent, Dean Goodman told the MailOnline Cooper loved Greece and she had recently explained she was returning there with her new husband.
He said: “Georgina had been unwell during Covid and had developed some health problems and had been in and out of hospital.
“But she had plans for the future. She had just married and was looking forward to her life. Everybody is devastated. She was a genuine superstar.”
Cooper had her first major breakthrough when she appeared in a Bon Jovi music video when she was 15 years old.
She became an iconic face of the 1990s and appeared on the cover of US Vogue.
In a 2018 interview with The Cultural Omnivore, Cooper revealed she had stepped back from modelling after having a son, Sonny.
