The Georgia Bulldogs take on the Oregon Ducks today at 3:30 p.m. ET in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game from Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Dawgs enter the season ranked No. 3 overall while the Ducks hold the No. 12 ranking the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and No. 11 in the AP Top-25.
The Bulldogs take on their former defensive coordinator and first-year head coach, Dan Lanning. The Ducks are led by Auburn transfer quarterback Bo Nix and preseason All-American linebacker Noah Sewell against a new-look Georgia defense and national championship offensive MVP Stetson Bennett.

Oregon vs. the SEC
The Oregon Ducks are 2-3 in their last five games against SEC opponents with wins over Auburn (2019) and Tennessee (2013).
The win against the Tigers came against then Auburn quarterback Bo Nix, who is now the starter for the Ducks.
Oregon’s SEC losses were to LSU (2011), Auburn (2011) and Tennessee (2010).

Prediction:
Football is a game of matchups at the end of the day. While Oregon has two All-Pac 12 selections on defense, linebacker Noah Sewell and defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus, and another two along the offensive front, Alex Forsyth and T.J. Bass, the speed and physicality UGA possesses will be front and center in this one.
The Ducks were pushed around by Utah and Oklahoma to end the season, and I expect something similar on Saturday.
Oregon quarterback and Auburn transfer, Bo Nix, is no stranger to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. Nix is a good athlete, but he has struggled against the Dawgs mightily.
Nix vs Georgia: Three starts, three losses. He is 72 of 128 passing for 639 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also has 34 carries for 34 yards.
Stetson Bennett, Kenny McIntosh and Brock Bowers on offense, along with Jalen Carter, Kelee Ringo and Christopher Smith on defense will be too much for the Ducks. That’s why I would take Georgia minus-17.5 points.
Prediction: Bulldogs win 38-10.
