Georgia Toffolo wins £37.5k at Cheltenham Festival after placing huge bet

Reality star Georgia Toffolo won a huge £37,500 at the Cheltenham Festival today (March 15), and praised 'beginner's luck' for her enormous winnings on the first day of the week's races. The 27-year-old, who became famous for appearing on TV show Made in Chelsea, received her enormous cash winnings after she bet £5,000 on horses at the races, the Mirror reported.

The former I'm a Celebrity winner seemed to suggest on Twitter that her fortune was all down to it being her first time. Sharing her news on the social media app, the star wrote: "OH MY GOD beginners luck."

She added: "Bloody hell can't believe it. Generous donation incoming to both the @BritishRedCross and @decappeal." While many social media users expressed congratulations, others weren't convinced it was 'beginners luck'.

Gavin Tanner replied: "No beginner bets £2500 each way on a forecast !! Well done though". Meanwhile, Peter Dwyer wrote: "Beginners luck at that stake???"

However, Toff later clarified her original statement and wrote: "Seeing some confusion re my caption - beginners luck because it was the first race of the festival! It is not, one might say my first rodeo. Wouldn’t normally share a bet like that but if it gets more people donating to the charities I’ll take the stick".
