Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has expressed confidence that the majority of ballots cast in the state will be tabulated by the end of Tuesday night. This statement comes in light of the 2020 election, which was called 10 days after Election Day. Raffensperger has reassured that such a delay is not expected this year.
Raffensperger mentioned that ballots from early voting and absentee ballots received by the weekend will be processed no later than 8 p.m. ET on Election Night. He emphasized that all votes cast on Tuesday will be counted by the end of the night, ensuring a timely reporting of results.
Furthermore, Raffensperger outlined that the ballots to be tabulated after Election Day will primarily consist of overseas military ballots and absentee ballots received on Monday and Tuesday. By providing this information, he aims to offer transparency and clarity regarding the election process in Georgia.
