Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has expressed optimism that a projected winner for Georgia will be announced on election night. With over 4 million early votes already cast and mail-in ballots received and accepted, Raffensperger emphasized the importance of uploading and recording all ballots within one hour after polls close.

Most polling locations are set to close at 7 p.m., allowing for a quick turnaround in tallying the votes. Raffensperger stated that by 8 p.m., approximately 99% of the ballots would be accounted for, providing a clear indication of the race's direction.

Furthermore, Raffensperger assured that all votes cast on election day would also be included in the final count before the night concludes. Efforts are being made by smaller counties in Georgia to finalize their counts by 10 or 10:30 p.m. at the latest.

“By the end of the night, you’ll have all those results,” Raffensperger affirmed, highlighting the commitment to ensuring a timely and transparent election process in Georgia.
