The Georgia Bulldogs’ 41-34 loss at the Alabama Crimson Tide will go down as one of the most entertaining college football games all season. Georgia trailed 28-0 in the first half and 30-7 at halftime.
At one point in the third quarter, Alabama had a 99.0% chance to win according to ESPN. However, Georgia turned the tide and even took a lead late in the fourth quarter following a 67 yard Dillon Bell touchdown reception.
Unfortunately, Georgia gave up a 75 yard touchdown to star Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams on the play after Bell’s touchdown. The Bulldogs had one final drive to try to tie the game at 41, but Carson Beck threw his third interception of the game to Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown.
Carson Beck did not look like a potential No. 1 NFL draft pick in the first half. That changed in the second half. Beck finished the day 27 of 50 for 439 passing yards with four touchdowns, three interceptions and one fumble. Beck and the Georgia offense showed what it is capable of in the second half, but it was too little, too late.
Georgia has a lot to build off this road loss, but at the end of the day the Bulldogs are 3-1 and fall behind Texas and Alabama in the SEC standings.
