Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger recently made a statement indicating that the state is likely to witness a surge in early voting for the 2024 election. Raffensperger predicted that between 65% to 70% of Georgia voters will opt to cast their ballots before Election Day, potentially setting a new record for early voter turnout.

As of now, nearly 1.4 million individuals have already voted early or had their absentee ballots accepted. Raffensperger expressed confidence in the state's election process, emphasizing that voters have the freedom to choose how they wish to participate in the electoral process, in accordance with the guidelines set by the state election board.

In response to recent remarks by former President Donald Trump, who suggested that Raffensperger and GOP Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp were making it challenging for Republicans to succeed in the upcoming election, Raffensperger remained steadfast in his commitment to upholding voting integrity. He stated that such comments do not sway his dedication to ensuring a secure and transparent election process in Georgia.

Raffensperger highlighted the voting security measures that have been implemented in the state to safeguard the electoral process and instill confidence among voters. Despite external criticisms, he reiterated his focus on maintaining a fair and accessible voting system for all eligible Georgians.
