A tragic incident unfolded on Friday night in the City of Roswell, Georgia, as a police officer lost his life while responding to a call at the Kings Market shopping center. The officer was shot and killed when investigating a report of a suspicious person at the shopping center located at 1425 Market Blvd.
Roswell Police Chief James Conroy revealed during a news conference that the officer was ambushed by a man behind the shopping center who opened fire, striking the officer multiple times. Despite receiving immediate first aid from fellow officers, the officer succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
