Georgia Bulldogs offensive tackle Chad Lindberg plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens on April 15. Lindberg, a former four-star recruit, played in 12 games throughout the 2023 college football season.
Lindberg is entering the transfer portal ahead of spring practice, which begins on March 12. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound senior offensive tackle has played in 22 career games for the Bulldogs. Lindberg projected as Georgia’s back-up right tackle for the fall.
Now, Georgia will likely rely on Monroe Freeling as the second-string right tackle. The Dawgs also have Daniel Calhoun, Bo Hughley, and Jamal Meriweather as depth at offensive tackle.
Lindberg announced his plans to transfer via social media. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
I have entered the transfer portal as a graduate with two years of eligibility. I am pursuing a MBA.

Lindberg’s likely departure is a blow to Georgia’s offensive line depth. Lindberg has the talent to start right away at another Power Five program.
