Georgia is experiencing a surge in early voting turnout, breaking previous records in the critical swing state. State election officials have reported a significant increase in voter participation on Tuesday.
As of 2pm on Tuesday, a total of 187,973 votes have already been cast in person, surpassing the previous first-day record of 136,000 votes set in 2020. Officials are confident that the final count will exceed 200,000 votes by the end of the day.
