Rangers have announced George Taylor has been appointed a director of the company. The Glasgow-born businessman was one third of the influential Three Bears consortium alongside current chairman Douglas Park and director George Letham.
They invested in Rangers in March 2015 when Dave King, Paul Murray and John Gilligan won control of the Ibrox boardroom following a lengthy battle over leadership of the club. Taylor will now join Stewart Robertson, Ross Wilson, James Bisgrove, Andrew Dickson and Barry Scott on the company board.
A Rangers statement on Wednesday night said: "The board of Rangers International Football Club PLC is delighted to welcome the appointment of George Taylor as a director of the company." Taylor, King and Letham were credited with a huge role in rescuing Rangers from a period of turmoil, a role that helped bring stability back to the club's boardroom.
