George Russell beats Lewis Hamilton in thrilling F1 Chinese sprint race

George Russell Lewis Hamilton Ferrari

George Russell won the first sprint race of the season in China on Saturday.
After claiming victory at the Australian Grand Prix last weekend, Russell continued his strong start to the season but was pushed all the way by Lewis Hamilton.
The British pair exchanged the lead six times across the opening five laps.
In the end, Russell got across the finish line first, while Hamilton had to settle for third, behind Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc.
The Ferrari pair will hope to get the better of Russell for the first time this season in Sunday’s Grand Prix.
