Author George RR Martin is best known for writing the 'Song of Ice and Fire' books, which were adapted into the popular series 'Game of Thrones'. While the screen adaptation is complete and over, it is noted that the author is yet to finish his next novel 'The Winds of Winter' in the series.
It is noted that it's been roughly 11 years since the last book in the 'Song of Ice and Fire' series was released. In a recent interview with Stephen Colbert’s 'Tooning Out The News' when Martin was asked about his writing progress, the author revealed that he has written roughly 1100-1200 pages in 'The Winds of Winter' book. But he is yet to write “another 400, 500 pages” to finish it.
