It didn’t take long for 49ers draft pick Drake Jackson to feel the love from his teammates.
Not only did his fellow defensive lineman Arik Armstead announce the team’s selection at No. 61 overall, but tight end George Kittle quickly weighed in on Twitter to welcome the new DE to the team.
Kittle doesn’t play on the same side of the ball as Jackson, but the two could wind up going against each other in training camp which could lead to some valuable mentorship between Kittle and Jackson when it comes to how the rookie DE can navigate NFL offenses.
The 49ers have a tight locker room, so it’s not a surprise Jackson was quickly welcomed with open arms on Twitter. He’ll get to first meet some of his teammates in early May when he reports for rookie minicamp.
