George Grierson backs Irvine Meadow to dish out a battering as he sets points target

George Grierson reckons it’s only a matter of time before his Irvine Meadow side give someone a BATTERING.

The new Medda boss is targeting four points from every two league games as he looks to get his reign revving.

That means he’ll be looking for a win away to Cambuslang Rangers this weekend after last weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Largs Thistle.

With just one league place and point separating the sides, Grierson expects a tough afternoon at Somervell Park.

He says The Lang will be given ‘maximum respect‘ but insists: “These are the teams around about us we need to take points off.

“If you want to get away from these teams you’ve got to start winning these games.”

Meadow will have to improve their strike rate if they want to climb the table but Grierson added: “I think these boys have got bags of goals in them, I really do.

“And when it happens, someone is going to get an absolute battering because of the chances we are creating.”
