George Ezra has become a father for the first time.
The 'Shotgun' hitmaker, 31, was photographed carrying the newborn in a car seat as he ran errands with his mystery new girlfriend in Hertford, Hertfordshire, and is said to have welcomed his first child into the world earlier this month.
A friend told The Sun: "George is ecstatic about becoming a dad. It’s been such an exciting time for him and this Christmas is going to be very memorable for him. George is in a great place and is enjoying being a hands-on dad.”
In the pictures obtained by the outlet, George can be seen carrying nappies, a box of Brewdog lager cans and what appears to be yogurt drinks.
The 'Green Green Grass' hitmaker was diagnosed with acute vertigo last year and forced to cancel concerts before taking a break and will now enjoy further time off with his little one.
The source added: “George took time out to focus on his health and now he’s become a dad, he wants to enjoy every moment of that experience.
“He is focusing on what is really important in his life and that is his partner and their baby.”
The musician previously hinted at stepping away from the spotlight after his 2023 tour in support of ‘Gold Rush Kid’.
He said: “This might be a conversation for another time, but I don’t feel an urge or want to continue operating in the way we do at the minute.
“And that’s not a rebellion, it’s just how I feel. Like, ‘Cool, that was a thing.’
“The last [headline tour] date lands around April next year. Then it’s festival season, then it’s my 30th, and you think, ‘Well, what an amazing decade. But don’t kid yourself into thinking that’s all life could be.’”
As for his love life, In 2020 - amid the COVID-19 pandemic - it was revealed that George had split from his girlfriend Florrie after three years together.
A source said at the time: "They split up a few months ago but it was amicable, and they remain on good terms. It's not been an easy time, especially with everything else going on in the world. But George is keeping his head down and finding the positives in everything that has happened."
