George and Amal Clooney evacuate French home as wildfires rage across southern Europe

George and Amal Clooney have evacuated their home in the south of France as wildfires continue to sweep across parts of southern Europe, with the couple saying they have “no idea” whether their property will survive.

The actor and human rights lawyer announced they had left their home in Brignoles, in France’s Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, in a letter to the town’s mayor, Didier Brémond.
