Bosses at MTV recently hit back at claims that Geordie Shore had been axed after a 12-year stint on screen - revealing that fans have an abundance of antics to look forward as the next season fast approaches.
The Newcastle-based show initially took to screens in 2011, but with some criticism that the show was painting the city in a bad light through heavy drinking and wild nights out.
Despite this, the show instantly became massively popular, with millions of viewers tuning in each subsequent series to see what the Geordies had been up to over the course of filming.

And this week it was reported that the show would finally be coming to a close, leading many die-hard viewers gutted. However, an official representitive for MTV has now hit back at these rumours, telling The Mirror: "Geordie Shore has not been cancelled and continues to be one of MTV’s biggest shows.
"We can't wait for fans to see what we have in store next season."
To celebrate the official announcement of the new season of Geordie Shore, we thought we would look at the original cast, to see what they've been up to recently.
Charlotte Crosby:
One of the firm favourites from the show, Sunderland-born Charlotte has enjoyed a plethora of success both inside and outside the house - winning Celebrity Big Brother and enjoying her own TLC show The Charlotte Crosby Experience.
More recently, Charlotte gave birth to her daughter Alba Jean in October 2022, and has recently launched a new BBC Three show called Charlotte in Sunderland - which details her life over the past year or so, including business affairs and personal relationships with family and friends.
Speaking to ChronicleLive earlier this week though, Charlotte revealed that she has something else on the horizon soon - but couldn't detail exactly what it was. She said: "So I've got a pretty crazy year, there's a lot of crazy things. There's especially one crazy thing that I might be doing - but obviously I can't say. But I think everyone will get a really big shock!
"It's like, so out of the ordinary - like I think everybody is going to be like 'what?!'."
Vicky Pattison:
Vicky as been incredibly busy in her personal and professional life, settling down with fiancé Ercan Ramadan and starting off on an egg-freezing journey to potentially become a mum one day. She is still running her highly-successful 'The Secret To' podcast, and has more recently taken up a new charity role in Parliament.
Vicky is now the patron for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (Nacoa), a charity which provides information and support for those who are affected by their parent's drinking. The role will see the former Geordie Shore star speak in Parliament on the subject - a daunting prospect which Vicky said had left her "shaking already".
Asked what she planned to bring up to the Government, Vicky said that she hopes to increase the support for people affected by alcoholism through her new role.
"Children of alcoholics are more likely to be victims of abuse or neglect, they’re more likely to consider suicide, more likely to have eating disorders, more likely to get in trouble with the police. The list is endless," she explained.
"And despite this, and despite the fact that the number of calls to the Nacoa helpline has increased, Government still cut the funding in 2021."
Gary Beadle:
Geordie Shore favourite Gaz Beadle was a long-standing member of the MTV hit, and since parting ways with the show he has settled down with partner Emma McVeigh. The couple currently live in Yorkshire with their two children Chester and Primrose.
Said to be worth over £4m, Gaz has built his fortune in property development, and even rekindled with MTV for the spin-off season of Geordie OGs. He subsequently walked away from the show though, to concentrate on his family life.
Other honourable mentions in Gary's life come in the form of a successful autobiography, owning a nightclub in Zante, running a clothing shop in the Metrocentre and appearing on a stint of Hell's Kitchen over in Australia.
Holly Hagan-Blyth:
Holly made headlines at the turn of the year, announcing that she and husband Jacob were expecting their first child together later in 2023. The mum-to-be has been incredibly busy preparing for the exciting next stage of her life, but made a return to the Geordie Shore Reunion series which aired at the end of last year.
Elsewhere, Holly has had success with autobiography Not Quite A Geordie, appeared on the covers of FHM and Nuts in the past, and had a popular fashion line for Lasula.
Sophie Kasaei:
South Shields Sophie parted ways with Geordie Shore in season seven, but has since returned for the Big Birthday Battle of 2016, and as a full-time cast member from 2019 onward. Elsewhere, she started up clothing businesses in Off The Rails boutique and House of SHB, while also working as a party planner for Geordie Tours.
Sophie has also appeared on Ex on the Beach, as well as coming back for the Geordie Reunion last year. She also launched a line of hair extensions specifically for girls with curly hair.
Jay Gardner:
Jay Gardner was one of the first Geordies to walk through the doors of the house back in 2011's season one, and soon after made a name for himself on the Toon. He obviously left the show to be with girlfriend at the time, Chloe, before returning and then leaving for good during series seven.
Aside from running Attico/Verve in Sunderland, away from Geordie Shore, Jay launched male fake tanning line Jay’s Tan. He also returned, among many other co-stars, for the Big Birthday Battle series. Also a qualified personal trainer, who works as an online coach, Jay is looking more hench than ever.
James Tindale:
James appeared on Geordie Shore for 10 series in a row as one of the originals. Born and bred in Consett, he was undoubtedly one of the show's more calming influences, but did get rowdy on a couple of occasions.
Away from the show, James has worked as an ambassador for Muscle Mix, had a clothing line in God's Gift and even launched his own gym - Unique. In 2021, James rocked Australia by appearing on their version of First Dates, and he has also taken part in All Star Shore with co-stars Chloe Ferry and Bethan Kershaw.
Greg Lake:
Greg definitely holds the title as Geordie Shore’s most reserved housemate. Well-spoken Greg struggled to fit in with the fake tan, gym obsessed, deep V T-shirt wearing ways off the fellow boys from the off.
So it was little surprise he quit the show between filming of spin-off Magaluf Madness and series two. Greg went on to star in Irish reality show Celebrity Salon. He has son Daye Colmic with ex-girlfriend and Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe.
Over the past couple of years, Greg has been making a real splash in the hospitality world after opening bar and brasserie Novo in Morpeth, Northumberland. The venue has proven a big hit with famous faces, with ex Jennifer, former co-star Vicky Pattison and Newcastle United star signing Kieran Trippier amongst those who've paid a visit so far.
