The cast of Geordie Shore were as stunned as the rest of the UK public after former star Aaron Chalmers announced he is set to fight former world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather.
The bout, set for February 25 in London, will see the 50-0 athlete fight in the UK for the first time as he faces off against the reality TV star-turned-fighter in the boxing ring.
And following the news, Aaron's best pal Gaz Beadle took to Instagram to share his shock at the bout and to take a cheeky dig at his mate.
Alongside a promo pic for the event, Gaz wrote: "Madness mate !!!! Congrats... if you win please don't do that high pitched voice into the mic at the O2."
A number of other stars from the hit MTV series took to the platform to share their excitement at the news, too. Among them was Scotty T, who simply wrote: "WHAAAAAATTTTTT."
Nathan Henry was in support of the bout, adding on his own Story: "The big brother is doing maddddddd things," while OG cast member Greg Lake wrote: "Wow...."
Chloe Ferry also got involved, posting on her platform: "Can't wait to watch this @aarongshore @floydmayweather."
The contest was first announced on Monday evening by the American and his team in a statement which read: "I was originally supposed to face a different opponent, but injuries happen and I’m glad that Aaron Chalmers could step up so that we could give the fans what they want.
"The fans in the UK have always been great to me and supported me throughout my career, so an event like this has been a long time coming. I’m excited to add more history to The O2 arena in London."
Aaron is a relative novice in the sport, only boxing once last June. He defeated journeyman Alexander Zeledon in the bout and has continued training with well respected trainer Adam Booth.
As the news started to spread, Aaron took to his social media to say his phone was "literally blowing off the hook" with all the notifications he was receiving.
He said: "It's on. Me versus Floyd...how I've kept that a secret is unbelievable."
And he's urged a Newcastle crowd to get behind him at the O2 Arena, admitting he's hoping the city's football team will be in action the following day in the Carabao Cup final, if they beat Southampton.
"Biggest night of my life," he went on. "And like I said, someone's 0 has got to go!"
He later shared a sweet snap of him cradling his new born son, saying it was "all for you my baby boy".
