Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan-Blyth has shared more details after announcing she was pregnant - including the unborn baby's 'unromantic' conception and its special due date. The former Geordie Shore star revealed the news of her pregnancy on New Year's Day.
In a black and white video shared with OK Magazine, Holly and husband Jacob Blyth revealed the tear-jerking moment with a look back over them making their marriage vows after tying the knot in a breath-taking Ibiza rooftop ceremony in June 2022. Viewers could hear the couple get emotional as they spoke of one day bringing up a family together.
"All I think about is growing old with you and creating the most beautiful family together," Bradford footballer Jacob, 30, tells his blushing bride. "Your patience, strength and resilience inspire me every single day and I couldn't think of a strong role model for our future children," Holly replies, attempting to hold back her tears
The montage then skips forward to show Holly, also 30, presenting Jacob with what appears to be a shoe box. Her new husband is then seen to be delicately removing the lid and moving aside the tissue paper sitting at the top, only to find a positive pregnancy test staring back at him.
The pair - who live together just outside Manchester - were unable to hide their excitement as they laugh and kiss, with Holly jumping into Jacob's arms. And now, Holly and Jacob have been chatting about their pregnancy with OK! Magazine and shared how they used a particular method in a bid to fall pregnant.
The couple started trying for a baby on their honeymoon but without any joy three months in, Holly changed her apporach and her and Jacon's sex life ended up on a schedule. "Since the wedding, I've been tracking my ovulation and taking supplements because I can suffer from irregular periods sometimes, usually if I’m stressed,” Holly told the publication. "The month I fell pregnant was the month we really tried. We used a method called the 'sperm meets egg'.
"They call it the Baby Dance Schedule! From the eighth day of your cycle you’re supposed to have sex every other day. Then once you have a positive ovulation test you have sex every day for three days, then you skip a day and have sex again. It’s not the most romantic but it worked. We didn’t leave much room for error. It wasn’t some fairy tale!"
Jacob then joked: "When you’re five years in it’s not like the honeymoon stage anymore. I wrote it down in my daily schedule. I was like, 'Football training. Baby making.'"
And it appears they have timed it to perfection as Holly, who is 18 weeks pregnant, is due on the memorable day of June 6, 2023. "We’re due on the exact date of our wedding anniversary," Holly told OK! But it doesn't stop there. "It’s the same week we first met, which will be six years ago, and the exact date I proposed three years later," Jacob, 30, who plays for Bradford (Park Avenue) FC, added.
Holly's exciting news comes just a couple of months after her former co-star and close friend Charlotte Crosby welcomed her first child, daughter Alba Jean, into the world. Commenting on Holly's Instagram post revealing the news, Charlotte said: "Oh yehhhhh oh yehhhhh oh yehhhhh oh yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I can sense some little besties forming!!!! Can’t wait to be moms together! We’ve been a lot of things in our life’s but moms really is the best TRUST ME."
