NEW DELHI: The Australian team led by Pat Cummins is facing a lot of flak after the visitors lost the first two Tests of the four-match series inside three days on the turning tracks in India. Hosts India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after two matches, with their spin-bowling duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja doing the maximum damage to the Aussies.
On Wednesday, Australia great Geoff Lawson has blamed captain Cummins' inexperience in leading a side on spinning tracks and assistant coach Daniel Vettori's inadequate inputs for the team's woeful performance.
